Privacy inquiries

Privacy inquiries, access requests, and requests for correction or deletion may be sent to the contact address above.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Musiquo, musiquo.ch, chorportal.ch, konzertportal.ch, related subdomains, public portal views, registration and login areas, member and organisation areas, and communication and support processes.

Additional notices may apply to individual features or integrations, in particular where an organisation connects external services such as calendars, email, cloud storage, or communication channels.

3. Legal bases

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to specific processing activities, we rely in particular on contract performance, pre-contractual measures, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligations.

Our legitimate interests include, in particular, secure operation, further development of the platform, communication with users and organisations, presentation of public music information, and protection against misuse.

4. Data we process

Depending on use, we may process in particular the following data:

  • Contact and master data such as name, email address, phone number, language, role, organisation, and location.
  • Account, login, and profile data, including invitations, authentication, and roles.
  • Ensemble, association, choir, and member data such as profiles, functions, registers, voice parts, and affiliations.
  • Project, rehearsal, concert, repertoire, document, attendance, and communication data.
  • Membership-fee details an organisation enters (account holder, IBAN, location, fee options and amounts, TWINT QR code or TWINT link), and members' payment status (e.g. open, reported, paid).
  • Submissions for public portals, including concert dates, logos, flyers, images, links, sources, and venues.
  • Support and communication data when you contact us or system messages are triggered.
  • Technical data such as IP address, device and browser information, log data, timestamps, referrer, session data, and usage events.
  • Billing or contract data where paid services, pilot agreements, or organisations are managed.

5. Purposes of processing

We process personal data in particular in order to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and further develop Musiquo,
  • enable registration, login, roles, invitations, and access to organisations or projects,
  • support ensembles, choirs, and associations with members, projects, rehearsals, attendance, repertoire, and communication,
  • give members access to relevant information, profiles, dates, documents, and project links,
  • make public choir, ensemble, and concert information discoverable in portals,
  • handle support requests, claiming requests, corrections, and legal matters,
  • detect and remedy misuse, errors, security incidents, and technical disruptions,
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce or defend legal rights.

6. Public portals and unclaimed profiles

Chorportal, Konzertportal, and future public portals display certain information about ensembles, choirs, concerts, venues, conductors, works, logos, flyers, and sources. This information may be submitted by organisations, published from within Musiquo, or taken from publicly accessible sources.

Unclaimed public ensemble profiles serve discoverability and may be claimed, corrected, or removed by authorised representatives. Requests may be sent to mail@techvibe.ch.

7. Member and organisation data

Organisations, ensembles, and associations may manage data about their members, musicians, singers, or staff in Musiquo. In these areas, the respective organisation largely determines which data is maintained and how it is used within its use of the platform.

Depending on the feature, members may access relevant information via login or simple links. They do not need to install a separate app but may edit or view personal data where this is provided for their role and function.

Membership fees: organisations can enter their payment details, i.e. account holder, IBAN, location, fee options and amounts, and a TWINT QR code or TWINT link. These details can be personal data, for example when a treasurer's private account or private TWINT is given. Musiquo shows them to the organisation's members and project participants so they can pay the fee directly to the organisation. Account holder, IBAN, location, TWINT QR code and TWINT link do not appear on public pages; fee options and amounts may appear in the public directory. Musiquo does not process payments: we do not receive, hold or forward money and do not initiate payments. A TWINT link leads directly to TWINT or the page entered, without a Musiquo redirect and without click tracking; the payment itself is subject to the terms and privacy notices of TWINT or the bank.

When a member reports a payment in Musiquo, we store that report and the status the organisation then sets (e.g. reported, paid). The status is a statement by the member or the organisation, not a confirmation by Musiquo that money was received. The organisation's admins see the status of all members; each member sees their own.

8. Events and guest sign-ups without an account

You can claim a spot on an event from its link without an account. For this we process your name (a first name or nickname is enough), your phone number, the number of spots, the event, and a random key stored on your device so you can find your sign-up again and cancel it. No account is created and you do not become a member of the ensemble.

The purpose is your participation in this event: other participants see your name; only the admins of the organising ensemble see your phone number, so they can reach you about changes. The legal basis is carrying out the event you sign up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the ensemble's legitimate interest in reaching participants (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); under Swiss law, processing in good faith for a recognisable purpose. Guest data is not shown in the public directory, not used for marketing, and not sold to third parties.

30 days after the event (its end, otherwise its start) we delete the phone number and replace your name with "Guest"; only the number of spots remains. The link "Cancel my spot and delete my data", which you get after signing up, deletes your spot, your name and your phone number at once; the same happens when the ensemble removes you or deletes the event. The data is processed by Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting), see Service providers and Transfers abroad. For your other rights see Rights of data subjects.

9. Service providers and recipients

We use technical service providers to deliver Musiquo. They receive personal data only to the extent required for operation, security, communication, support, or the relevant feature.

  • Hosting, delivery, and technical infrastructure, in particular Vercel.
  • Database, authentication, storage, and backend functions, in particular Supabase.
  • Email delivery and system notifications, in particular Resend or comparable providers.
  • Optional integrations such as Google Drive, Gmail, calendar services, or communication services where an organisation connects them.
  • Analytics, monitoring, security, and error logs where required for operation, stability, and improvement.
  • Authorities, courts, advisers, or other third parties where we are obliged or entitled to disclose data.

10. Transfers abroad

Service providers may process personal data in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries. Where data is transferred to countries without an adequate level of data protection, we implement appropriate safeguards where required, such as standard contractual clauses or comparable guarantees.

11. Cookies, local storage, and log data

Musiquo uses technically necessary cookies and local storage to provide login, session, language, security, and basic functionality. Server, hosting, and security services may collect log data to operate the platform reliably and securely.

If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced in future, we will inform you separately and, where required by law, obtain consent.

12. Email, invitations, and notifications

We may send emails for login links, invitations, system messages, support replies, project information, or administrative notices. Depending on the feature, organisations may trigger messages to members or project participants.

Administrative and security-related messages are required for operation. Other communications may be unsubscribed from or limited through organisation settings where the relevant feature provides for this.

13. Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes, contractual relationships, legal obligations, evidence, security, or legitimate interests. Data in organisation areas is also managed by the responsible organisations.

Public portal information remains visible while a legitimate interest in publication exists or until a legitimate request for correction, restriction, or deletion is implemented.

Guest sign-ups for events: the phone number is deleted and the name anonymised 30 days after the event; a cancelled sign-up is deleted at once.

Membership-fee payment details stay stored until the organisation changes or removes them. A payment status belongs to the respective project participation and is deleted with it.

14. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration. These include access restrictions, role-based permissions, encrypted transmission, logging, and operational security measures.

Despite careful safeguards, no electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

15. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects may, where provided by law, request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, or object to certain processing. Consent may be withdrawn with effect for the future.

Send requests to mail@techvibe.ch. We may require proof of identity to process a request. Legal retention obligations, overriding interests, or third-party rights may prevent complete deletion.

16. Complaints

In Switzerland, you may contact the competent supervisory authority, in particular the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), if you believe that processing violates data protection law.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Musiquo, legal requirements, services used, or processing activities change. The current version is available on this page.
